Frequently Asked Questions
To find answers to common questions regarding our products or site, please browse through the information below. If you are still having difficulties or would like more information, please contact us.
Q:
Can I use my rug outside?
A:
No. Natural rugs are for indoor use only. They will not hold up to repeated exposure to moisture so they are not recommended for outside use or for use in bathrooms, kitchens or screened in porches.
Q:
How do I care for my seagrass rug?
A:
Please see our cleaning page for specific spills. Regular vacuuming is the best method for keeping up the appearance of your rug.
Q:
Do I need a rug pad?
A:
Our rugs come with latex backing that prevents slipping. We strongly recommend the use of a rug pad at all times to protect both the rug and the floor. Please also see our option for urethane-backed Seagrass and Mountain Grass rugs.
Q:
What is Urethane backing?
A:
Standard Seagrass and Mountain Grass come with an option of urethane backing. It is a ¼” thick urethane foam cushioning made of premium 100% polyurethane weighing 20oz./sq.yd. It won't crack, peel,
crumble or bottom out under the pressures of heavy furniture and foot traffic.
Homeowners will appreciate the increased comfort,
lasting resiliency, energy savings, noise reduction and ease of
maintenance of this unique premium attached cushion. Because it helps carpets wear
longer and perform better, premium attached cushion is
separate rug under layer pad.
For wall to wall direct glue down applications, the reduced stress on carpet at both manufacturing
and installation stages helps eliminate many carpet defects and installation problems.
